That answers my question then, they are no contract if i bring my own. Great to hear as I think this is where im going as soon as my ATT contract is up.

I am disappointed to hear this. I am still excited for the watch for everything else it can do and Ive backed it, but makes my iphone seem lacking. Guess that’s one more push to switch to android when my contract is up in July, been considering it for a long while now.

This is the main reason I am still on my iphone. I really love android (not that i don’t like the iphone as well) and think constantly about switching to it but I don’t want to buy a phone with a 2 year contract and be stuck with a generation old operating system only a year down the road. 6 months is unacceptable especially since this is surely not user choice but limitations of what their hardware is currently allowing. Were I to go to android I would almost certainly have to use cyanogenmod but hate that I would feel like its necessary to get the full use out of my phone.
