Obviously there’s millions of examples from both sides of the story… but the point is, wouldn’t everything be nice if they all worked together?
Fair point.. I hope companies work more together , but when one CEO walks up on stage and lash out at another company for leeching on their platform when they are equally guilty, it doesn’t quite help.

It will work with IE, Firefox and Chrome but will require a plugin which will only work on windows and OSX ( I’m only assuming the second part btw . I don’t see them make it for ChromeOS or Linux.. hint: Silverlight)

Funny to see how Larry Page talks about Microsoft leeching on them ( Google) and not reciprocating, failing to realize that Google is the biggest leecher ( if there is any word like that ) of them all . Here is Google “encroaching” on Apple and Microsoft’s platforms but somehow he doesn’t consider this to be leeching.

Microsoft can get back at them if they want to. They just need to do a better job with Bing, make it a more competitive search engine . In fact if they offer the same US version of Bing experience in other markets ( Europe , Asia etc), integrate their other services more deeply into it and market heavily they will be able to get substantive market share from Google.
Come to think of it, in almost every product category that both companies compete, Microsoft tends to do better when both companies charge for it. ( Office 365/EAS vs Google Business apps, Azure vs Google Cloud engine etc) Google tends to perform better when they offer it for free and seriously speaking, its impossible to compete against free especially when its just as good or better. Which bring me back to the point of getting back at Google with search. By doing that they will be able to reduce their ad revenue, forcing them to cut back on the stuff they offer for free.
That considered, I think there are a few things that Google wants from Microsoft, they are just not as vocal about it as Microsoft is . If you listed to Larry Page yesterday , he talked about how Microsoft interpolates with Google but they wouldn’t reciprocate. I’m sure Google would like some sort of integration between their services and Office, Skype and other Microsoft products . The problem is Google tends to drop support for Microsoft products once their won picks up speed which is why MS is usually reluctant.

No its not, its an educated guess but according to Neowin , they were still not granted access( I’m wrong on that count) , they had to re-engineer to get full access. BTW there are YouTube APIs .

Microsoft has no reason to lie , why will they ? If they did, Google will come out to say its a flat out lie. On top of that you cannot just make a complaint to the European Commission and DoJ based on lie. Mind you this wouldn’t the first time Google did this, they specially blocked windows phone from accessing Google maps.
I totally get his point but he needs to be sincere next time

He makes some great points about interpolation but he is not be insincere himself. They blocked Microsoft from accessing Youtube APIs, they had to report them to the EU before they finally allowed them access. But he makes some great points, tech companies should be working together , not fighting .
