The implicit understanding behind the patent system is to provide “reasonable methods” for innovators to monetize on their patents. Refusing to settle on reasonable compensation grounds, and acting vindictive to drive the other party out of business is not what the patents were intended to be in spirit.

I’ve been a member of Digital Credit Union (DCU) for more than a decade now, and I can’t recommend it enough. I am so pissed with my Wells Fargo account and its ridiculous fees that I am thinking of moving my business accounts to DCU, and just be done with it. I’ve been in three states now that don’t have a single DCU branch, and I never missed that feature in a decade. DCU was one of the first to introduce PC and Smartphone based banking and deposits, and it works flawlessly, with deposits credited to your account within a couple of hours. Direct deposit accounts even get salary amount advanced two days before the payday. Can’t beat that. Big banks are useless other than for safety deposit boxes.

Have you seen the interest rate a normal bank savings/checking account pays you? I might as well trade the infinitesimal interest returns for a fee-free ATM use and a delightful banking experience.
