I don’t think other browsers do this but in Chrome I can search other sites. For example, I now type ‘y’, at which point the browser completes it to YouTube. Then I hit tab and type. When I hit enter, it searches YouTube instead of Google. This function works with practically every website. You just have to use the search box on the site once, after which the browser presents you the option to search the site the next time you type it in the Omnibar.

I have an iPhone 4S with me running iOS 5.1.1 that doesn’t show any options menu when I click on links in SMSs but simply opens them in the browser or calls it if it is a number. I only get options if I click on the arrow pointing right next to the SMS bubble. This other One V I have does the same.

Actually, I’ve seen Chrome for Android do that on practically every phone I’ve used it on. It’s definitely a browser issue and not an OS issue. The stock browser, along with other browsers do a significantly better job of holding onto tabs in memory.

If companies didn’t infringe on other’s patents, their owners wouldn’t have to go after them. And after all, isn’t that what the patent system was made for? Protecting what’s yours? And Apple isn’t just hoarding patents and going after anyone who uses them. They make real products that use those patents. which is what separates them from actual patent trolls.
