Yes, they both violate. However, Google has greater incentive to go after a first-party app as it can be argued that it becomes a part of the whole product (WP8 in this case). Sure the app is free to the consumer, but it is an official app of an OS that is not.
Also, your rabid nature is the only douche thing I see. I never said that you could only violate if you were a first party app, I simply stated the fact that Google has a history of being very pointed and selective when issuing takedown notices to unofficial apps.
Again, stop being so rabid.

Really? I find your labeling of MSFT4LIFE as a Microsoft diehard very unsettling as there is no indication in his comment to allude to that. How uncouth of you.

Because those are third-party, the Microsoft one is a first-party app and as such Google can make the argument that they are making significant amounts of money on part of it being a part of WP8.
Overall, this was a stupid decision by Microsoft. It just weakens their position by making them out to be douches.

Same screen as the Optimus G, it’s a very good screen. Just use the Franco Kernel for better color calibration (and battery life).
Also the Nexus 4 has great build quality. I just got mine and it has been amazing.

They are third-party and not first-party apps. As such Google allows them the Public API.
7 days ago on I'm think Microsoft is trying to get onto something with Google by creating the youtube app.
Comment
Giving them the API is something Google said it would not do. Google has cited time and time again that the Youtube private API is private for a whole list of reasons, a primary reason being the relation to ads and the delivery of said ads.
You speak of it as if it doesn’t matter, but no matter what it is not OK to do what Microsoft did.
Google said that developing a Youtube app for WP was not on their list of things to do. Microsoft then made an app that removes revenues and endangers Google’s Youtube partners. Microsoft has no right to demand anything, especially a private API (They compete with them in search and advertising for heaven’s sake).
The big difference here is that this is a first-party application, Google usually lets third party apps go due to them not really caring.

Doesn’t it have a 25-watt amp?

But the amp is the only reason I really liked it … it was a pretty high end small amp for a decent price.

Ahh come on! The nexus Q was kind of worth it when you realized it was a wireless amp, but sadly everybody just saw it an Apple TV competitor and not the Sonos competitor it was designed to be. Too bad Google could’nt shake that off.
Sad news, but the world is not a fair place.

The problem that I would think of is at firing ranges where a lot of people are firing.
Also, in cases where that doesn’t happen (I go every Saturday morning to practice some long range shooting, .308 at around 440 yards) this thing would just be useless as I will always know how many rounds I have.

Google+ has always been ahead of Facebook in terms of features and interface … so I don’t know where you’re pulling that from.
Google Play Games is aiming not only to catch up but offer a few new things … so I would think of it as part catch-up and part improving upon.
Agree with Hangouts, they always had the pieces and I’m glad they’re putting them together.
IDE is a tricky question, since it is java there was never any need for a full-on IDE as anything would serve just as well (Eclipse is the popular one). So a direct comparison is not exactly apt. On any day consolidation is a good thing and they said that developing using other IDEs is still going to be possible for those developers who wish so it is a win-win.
Other than that it was a developer oriented conference, so consumer-level stuff shouldn’t be expected every single year.

Reddit is more of forum and posts kind of structure that allows for long evolving comments and promotes lots of linking. You can go into a subreddit, but what you do there can be described as observing and discussing.
In Google+, I personally discussed how to make a raspberry pi powered ECG with some engineers I found in a community and often like getting into productive conversations with people and simply get some swesome conversation going.
I still love Reddit, but the conversations there always seem to devolve.

However, it still doesn’t seem like a Nexus device. It just looks like they did this after the fact and unlike most nexus devices it was not designed specifically for the nexus program.
I think that is why they are just not calling it a “Nexus”.

I highly doubt that as when 4.0 came out, the MTP connection was horrible in Linux. However, within a couple of weeks laer and a few different fixes were already available. A month or two later, a fix was integrated and pushed as an update.
I’m using Ubuntu 13.04, and it picks up my Nexus 4 very easily.

Do not be a bigot and equate ethnicity with nationality.
Syria, Jordan, and Lebanon are all Arab countries, but they are separate countries nonetheless.
Also, contrary to what you are saying, the Arabs there are not either bedouins or immigrants (technically, everybody is an immigrant but that is neither here nor there). I, for example, can trace my ancestry back to roman times and have some information back up to the last crusade.
