The Windows 8 operating system debuted on October 26th, six months ago today. Intended as the savior of a flagging PC industry, Microsoft’s latest software is designed specifically for touch-equipped hardware.
I don’t think any sane person touted it as being intended to save the PC industry. It’s also designed for touch AND key/mouse. You can have cake and eat it too.
Bringing back some familiar options like a start button might help out with sales though.
