Right, but you’re frustrated with a show because he doesn’t do things that he’s said he’s not going to do. Why would you watch expecting something other than what he does time and time again, other than what he’s said outright what he’s going to do.
Are you also frustrated that The Onion only covers made up stories?

Zecharixs — the “right” is too powerful in this one and you’re not going to gain any ground here. You can’t fight firmly held faith in economic mythologies like the “fairness of the flat tax” and the “double taxation” of capital gains.

A math problem would supposing you know the amount of revenue that would be brought in if the tax rate was changed, despite the lack of any credible mathematical analysis of this effect.

You can’t blame Stewart for putting on a hilarious show that ignorant people use to get their news. Every single time he’s asked about whether or not he’s a news show he says “no” and makes no bones about saying that people should be getting their actual news elsewhere.

I think what you’re saying is interesting, but I think it’s also short-sighted.
The “wget” argument is, of course, silly, and I think they’re better off focusing on the fact that the reporters knew they were accessing information they shouldn’t have been accessing and did it anyway.
Just because something is easily accessible does not mean it’s open to the public — it’s sort of how we see the situation, but I don’t know if it’s inherently true. If I don’t have a pin-lock on my phone’s lock screen, that doesn’t mean it’s okay for someone to pick it up and copy all the numbers in my address book. I don’t think my example is the same, but it falls under a larger discussion that I think needs to take place regarding acceptable access and unacceptable access and who is responsible for keeping data out of the hands of people who shouldn’t have access to it.
I’m very curious how Google was able to index these PDF files. Google needs direct links or a site map to index content, so it follows that not only were these files not protected in any way, but they were actually linked to or listed in some way.

They should have called it TouchSlo! Burn! Seriously though, it was so laggy.
I do agree about the screen size — though with HVGA at that size, the pixel density was so high that it was years before I saw a screen as sharp again.
I thought, if nothing else, it looked designed and unique. Just look at that Omnia, so workmanlike and common.

In my opinion the story started going downhill almost immediately after they turned “the others” from a mysterious, near-supernatural force into a bunch of scientists who also happened to allow themselves to be led by a sociopath for some reason.
Everything after that served to further dull any edge that show had at the start.

lol, I love it.
And now they are proposing two separate books so it works out even better:
The law — The Traffic Torah
The interpretation — The Traffic Talmud

They were first-in-market for 4G, which was the biggest draw. The large screen which, at the time, seemed huge, was another. Being stuck on Sprint, though, made the EVO almost irrelevant.
I don’t like the HTC One — iIt’s dripping in macbook pro styling, which I think comes off as derivative and out-of-date. If you look at the Diamond, the large, almost function-free space on the back of the phone is as intriguing as the rest of it, and there was/is nothing else out there like it.
Also, there is no “best phone”. People like different phones for different reasons. I don’t like sense or touchWiz so samsung and HTC are both out for me. If I buy another android phone it will be a nexus device (assuming Google decides to make sure the phone is up to parity with features this time around instead of omitted LTE again) because I’ve been burned too many times by the OEMs not updating in a timely manner.

Nothing wrong with that phone, but it’s not turning heads. Not the same way the diamond did, at any rate.

And haven’t made anything nearly as striking since. The prettiest phone they ever made came out 6 years ago and ran WinMo 6.1.

Weird — from the drawings it appears as though this work space makes no space for work. It looks like more like a park one might see on Mars (you know, once we start building parks up there).

Who’s wrong?
Both pronunciations are correct. Doesn’t matter the origin or intention of the person who invented it. Language is not bound to the will of those who create words, it is bound by the community’s understanding of the sounds/symbols they’ve agreed have a meaning when put in a particular order.
Since both are used frequently and understood by the listener to be mean the same thing, they are both correct.
Literally.

There is no disagreement, you’re just not making any sense — but going our separate ways is probably best.

It’s sort of unbelievable that you’re able to maintain such a sense of superiority while also failing to understand the basic principles that allow communication to happen.
I never said" illegal immigrant" is an acceptable term — I just want to know what you would prefer to call the group of people who have entered into a country unlawfully, or have entered lawfully and remained within it’s borders longer than lawfully allowed.
If we are going to discuss this group of people to change things to make their lives better, to tell their stories, etc. we must have a way of acknowledging them as a group. If you don’t like “illegal immigrant” then you should come up with a new term that you think people should use and start using it. Otherwise, allow actual discussions to take place that can actually have some good for the world rather than just waste time on pointless debate of semantics.

Talk about missing the point.
Godwin’s Law has nothing to do with anything that’s going on in this thread.
To calm your nerves, there is no such report — it was supposed to be a humorous example revealing how absurd your proposition was.
The joke is that when you say human being work in a kitchen, you’re not really saying anything at all. Of course human beings work in a kitchen — no other animal has the ability (that we know of) to cook for humans at fast food restaurants. Now, if we say “chefs” instead of “human beings,” maybe the report is about how people are coming out of CIA certification and taking jobs that are otherwise below their skill level. If we say “underage children” instead of “human beings,” we’re looking at a story that probably involves child labor laws.
You can’t say “well 80% of the population is human, the other 20% is human”.
Your proposition that we call illegal immigrants “human beings” makes it seem like you don’t understand how language is used.

Okay. Here are the news reports, pouring in:
“It was discovered today that several high profile fast food chances have been hiring human beings to work in their kitchens. More on this at 11.”
Absurd.

Yeah, but it’s irrelevant anyway – the whole point of the device is to be rugged, so a rugged and less refined look is not only appropriate but will likely speak to the audience its intended for.

We can only speculate — but it seems really unlikely that a company as successful and reportedly well managed as Valve, there were almost certainly NDAs and other non-compete agreements signed before employment/the project started.

This move, if adopted by the other major browsers, doesn’t kill the online ad industry. But there are companies that exist solely for re-marketing who will be demolished.
It’s not about giving people a choice. They’ve always had the choice, they just haven’t cared enough to check what their choices are. So they’re making a change that is going to be both disruptive and damaging to a lot of a people looking to do legitimate business for not particular reason — because users clearly don’t care.

Would you prefer illegal immigrator? Is there a term you’d like to see used?
Without an alternative, disputing the term is little more than a deflection.
