I was thinking about a swipe left from the home screen, but it would be less useful then a drop down menus from the top like ios and android as the notification centre should be able to be opened anywhere in the os and overlay any app.
I didn’t realise how good the build quality of my surface RT was until I started using a Asus 400c. The surface is really in a different league of build quality.
I don’t mind my surface RT being 16:9 to read websites on. If I’m laying in bed I put the kick stand out and read like that, and I never use it in portrait as I will agree its horrible. If the resolution I would not mind as sometimes I you don’t get much on a webpage in landscape.
I agree when I first got my surface it was terrible without the updates, but it still lags in performance compared to one of the windows 8 atom tablets I have used. I have noticed lag on my RT when opening up ie and clicking on url bar when it loads my favourites but other then that its fine. I do love knowing I can search anything and not get a virus.
I just brought an 8x because I won’t use the Lumina 920 camera that much, don’t really use gps apps like drive, rather my phone be light and I’m broke. I do prefer the styling of the 920 over 925 though and the 928 is much of the same. If they had only released the 925 as a lighter thinner 920.
I have been using IE since I got my Surface RT and Windows 8 on my desktop primarily to sync my favourites. It has been pretty good pages render fast but I have ran into some issues on sites which require me to use chrome of ff, but this could be the fault of these websites rather then ie
I want a progress bar on the media controls so I know where I am up yo in a song or podcast with out having to launch an app. Its beyond me why this is not in there already
