Well just because there is more area doesn’t mean that there are more subscribers. The number of subscribers per square mile is less in the US.
This explains why it may cost more in the US because of the need for additional towers. It does not explain, however, how carriers in different countries seem to supply better service with the same spectrum limitations.

To which he’d probably reply something to the effect of how much more area the US must cover. Sadly, people might buy that answer even though it is.completely independent of spectrum which is his whole argument here.

Don’t tell me about subsidizing other users. The fact that these jerks (except T-Mobile) charge the same rate regardless of whether or not you’re under contract show that they don’t care about some people subsidizing other people.

Sadly, these laws don’t actually deter people from using phones while driving. All they do is cause people to put the phone down towards their lap as to avoid getting caught. This just causes one’s eyes to be even further from the road.
Only better hands-free technology and education will actually curb dangerous usage.
