Like everyone else is saying, these articles are actual articles…not the usual copy/paste from corporations PR machines drivel that we usually get…
I don’t agree with a lot of their tech writing but theverge now has the better articles than any other tech sites

backward compatible? WTF…?!
We are not talking about something that costs more than 20 cents (providers might sell them for $5 or $25 but this is just artificial)….
Time to move on…
I’d go with the motives of RIM, MOTO, Nokia over the carriers any day of the week….they are probably thinking of the hardware and tech whereas the carriers are thinknig of a way to screw you

Its very valuable to them to sell their products and wares to the US…make difficult for them….
This globalization dream is nonsense when you are dealing with countries like the Bahamas where there is no taxation for all intensive purposes or other countries where they do not have democracy and they are more than willing to delete the taxes for a rich guy

What drivel…these guys don’t pay close to their fair share so the answer is just to lower taxes even farther becuase if we don’t they will just go elsewhere?
Please, if they play this game then just ban them on re-entry or tax any corporations that they are involved with to the ying-yang…
Sad state of affairs when the only people paying taxes in the US are the middle class and the middle class is disappearing at an alarming rate.
If you want to see what happens when there is no middle class, visit Brazil, where this joker comes from…

If you are like the 99% of the world that uses MS office everyday, the google solution just sucks…
If you live in the google world and do not leave it (ie, you dont have a job in the real world that uses MS products daily), then I can see your point…

Inductive charging is the next innovation….there is a company called Brose and another called SEW-Eurodrive that are releasing products that allow a car to just charge when parked by embedding inductive charging units in the ground…they are already using them for city buses in Germany when the bus stops at a light or at a bus stop….
Cool stuff

Mentioned in multple reviews is key…
I use it everyday and disagree with what these “reviewers” have to say. Most reviewers say the OS shines….the apps are lacking and that’s it

The key is that low end symbian sales have plummeted far faster than originally expected.
It would not have mattered what OS they would be switching over to as none would be able to reverse that trend quick enough.
The big problem is that Nokia waited far too long to get change going (ie. Elop). They should have done that 2-3 years prior.
I still think they will suceed but they will not be the same Nokia afterwards.
