It does not suck, your friends suck. The only reason it hasn’t taken off with average people is because people are lazy, they follow trends, they dislike change.
They don’t see anything wrong with Facebook so why change. Google+ is as innovative & competitive as ever on the social media landscape, with miles better services and features than on Facebook or other networks. The only reason people don’t go towards it is not that it’s for the tech crowd, far from that.

But do you really think WhatsApp will invest in these technologies? You need to remember who they’re competing with here.. Google & Apple. Google+ will always be the most innovative as they have the infrastructure to be so.

Your loss. I’ve convinced a lot of people I know to make the switch. You won’t understand how much better Hangouts is until you experience it. It’s smoother, faster, intuitive and has multi-way facetime whenever anyone wants on their mobile. The web experience is even richer.

Just a few hours ago I commented on another article saying “But, who uses Google+?” and it got moderated.
These updates to hangout, photos, design and stream are amazing and extremely innovative. I’ve fallen in love and will be using Google+ for the foreseeable future. :D

True, internationally though I think WhatsApp is actually more popular than BBM. It’s certainly most popular in London right now

My thoughts exactly. BBM was one of the dominant pull factors towards buying a BlackBerry device, now it’s not exclusive anymore in all honesty BlackBerry is going to go even steeper downhill.
Also I don’t see why I should actually use BBM? It’s losing popularity fast & whatsapp does pretty much exactly the same thing….no?

I don’t hate Apple or iOS at all. I just thought Google Now was an outstanding innovation on Android and it feels strange for it to be made available on another platform. It just feels like it should belong on Android.
