Have you ever seen an ad on Android in a system app? or in the system altogether??
I have been using android since 1.5 and i have yet to see how google are “ruining” my experience with ads… Apart from in app ads (or notification) for FREE apps that usually cost money on other OSes, I have never even seen an ad in android

You can read recaps, watch clips, its not the same as someone telling you the results!!!!
I guess we agree to disagree…

It’s not even he is going back in time, it’s even more interesting, coz like everybody said, we remember what it was like before the internet. What is so fascinating about what Paul is doing, is disconnecting from a CONNECTED world, not going back in time to a non-connected world, I think this makes it so so so much more interesting especially in regards to social interactions (He can’t talk about the results of a game for example because he needs to either watch the game or learn the news from the TV or the newspaper the next day, whereas everybody else can comment it etc…..)… Maybe its because i’m a neuroscientist/psychologist that i find it fascinating, but please keep them coming!

Of course we all know that not having the internet drastically changes you way of life in 2012. What Paul is trying to do is find out HOW and WHAT changes are made in life in 2012 without the internet. It’s like scientists that studied gravity, they know if they drop a ball it would go downwards and fall on the ground, but it’s HOW that made all the difference. Researching things we know the outcome of is sometimes much more interesting than researching new stuff. I hope Paul lasts the whole year since i find it extremely interesting to see how he will adapt after the “withdrawal” phase…
