The title should read “Yahoo reportedly eyeing Tumblr for possible cool $1 billion acquisition”

Ok, I may have overreacted a bit. I just have this vague memory of some discussion on “thisismynext” about how flash is completely obsolete and any company who implements it should be shot (sarcasm) . I have always heavily valued their opinions and I will continue to do so, but flash is a terrible experience for many, and it is subject to security vulnerabilities (although not nearly as bad as Java). To choose Flash for monetization reasons is understandable, but don’t try to sugar coat the fact that Flash is still a pretty terrible video delivery method.

1. The main image on /video is too big, takes up most my screen at a res of 1920×1080 (yes, im cheap and my dell ultrasharp is not the 1920×1200 one :(
2. People need to stop flaming theVerge for creating a unified video portal, as they need to generate revenue like an other publication. If you really dont like it, use another site and try to find the quality/quantity/variety. I dare you. Personally, I like it, minus a few awkward design pieces and the lack of HTML5 video.
3. @Verge, great job with rev1 of /video. For rev2, update the video player to HTLM5, fix the giant main image, and for good measure, include a youtube link next to every video.

Warm, yes. Hot, no. Even in direct sunlight, playing a video, the One managed to keep the exterior temp to something even a baby chimp would love to hold.

I often hold my phone while laying down, and use my right hand to hold it, usually with my index finger in the top right, to make a reverse “L” like shape between my index and thumb. Thats when I noticed the signal degradation.
But like I said in the review, many of these flaws are oriented with me at the nucleus

After Marco launched “the Magazine” Im not surprised that he was thinking to sell Instapaper. I hope betaworks doesnt gut what Marco has done, because Instapaper is a great product

Yes, the One feels extremely sturdy in your hand (not necessarily damage proof). The aluminum will likely scratch, but just deal with it. I opted to only screen shield it, since the device is so beautiful and really does feel great.

I actually believe since the GS4 has a physical home button, this may help my fingers from being somewhat lost. That being said, I have not used the S4, and I may have the same complaint.
My complaint was mainly directed at the fact that I am right handed, and the home button (which is used the most) is positioned closest to my hand, and therefore it becomes a bit of a strain to reach. Since the S4 has a centered home button, it would likely be more ergonomic.
