This looks like a rushed poor mockup of an idea, and not images of an actual design from Microsoft

New Xbox Console, and the promise of Xbox Music showing up on iOS and Android – will give them the opportunity to launch it to a wider audience.

And perhaps taking it to court will expose more of Google’s hypocrisy and that may be worth the exercise for Microsoft. But I am sure they will come to terms and settle things.

Because whilst Google talk about hating patents, they tried to use the patents they brought with Motorola to exact some punitive damage to Microsoft.
They tried to get Microsoft to pay tens of billions for patents deemed to be essential and standards, which are legally obliged to be offered to the whole industry at fair rates.
The courts decided they should pay a few million for them, very much lower than Motorola wanted.

Not demanding an app, just asking if they can have access to the tools which are already there to make their own app work in a way which allows them to abide by the T&Cs

Yea its gone 4 a.m. here also, and I am not trying to say Microsoft is a Saint, and Google is Evil. I am just saying Microsoft has a point, and Google say one thing, and are doing another in this particular instance.

What whining? Google promote their services as being open and available everywhere. Is it wrong to question their sincerity when they do things which do not match the values they publicly espouse on stage in front of thousands and millions of people?

Yes I know, I am still using Windows Phone 7 so the version of the YouTube app for my phone, has not been released yet. I use the current app, which takes me to the mobile app. So I am well aware of what my options are.

Because Microsoft ensures anyone who accesses the web apps, get a similar experience. And when Office for iOS, Android, Windows RT, etc is launched, then hopefully they will all get a similar experience

Plus with Windows RT being released with Desktop Apps, perhaps they want to launch all the mobile versions of Office together when they are all ready.

We know Office is coming, so it’s not as if they are denying it. Plus they took steps so that Office Web Apps work for Andorid and iOS devices.

They also tend to fight for your rights to privacy more than other big internet companies.
This has been the way Microsoft have been behaving of late. Raising concerns about GMail, Setting express IE options for Do Not Track in favour of the users, and arguing about unfair treatment Windows Phone users have been getting from Google to the EU.
if you want to use Google services in full glory, buy an android device
If this is what Google wants, they should stop talking about Openness and Interoperability, and there services being everywhere, and instead be honest and say “we want you to enter our world, and we will treat you best here”
You’d find it preposterous if Sony suddenly started complaining about MS not letting it publish Halo.
Rumours are Sony is trying to kick up a stink about allowing Microsoft’s new Xbox to use Blu-Ray because they run the consortium which controls the spec and licensing.

During E3 announcements and public events, EA promised “unprecedented support” for Nintendo and the Wii U platform. And many games were close to complete which were suddenly dropped. And the story was very different.

It is all rumour, but it seems to fit with what has happened since.
http://wiiudaily.com/2012/08/ea-origin-wii-u/
Reportedly, Nintendo was in talks with several third parties to improve the Wii U’s online capabilities, and EA was one of them. However, the talks broke down when EA wanted all of Wii U’s online network — including the Nintendo Network — to be run through its Origin system. As expected, Nintendo walked out of the negotiations after such outrageous demands by EA.

This is supported on Android phones, they auto upload to Google+ and they can be set to be private.
Speaking of Google+
The experience on Windows Phone is absolutely broken, and Google do not care enough to make it useable.
