SMS overages are pretty much a thing of the past, now that carriers have moved on to data overages as their cash cow. The fact that these messaging apps don’t support native SMS is absurd.
To me, the moral of the story is less about internet vs. non-internet, and more about avoiding the mind-numbing effects of being caught up in the daily grind, whatever that may be.
