I just upgraded from my Nexus 4. Had that for 7 months and was suffering from poor battery life and no LTE. Camera was w/e. After switching, I cannot go back. I live in a LTE area for ATT and its 10+ down all the time. I have yet to run out of battery in a whole day. Its crazy. Sometimes I just leave Waze or Nav on and it still doesn’t do much to the battery. Very happy with this choice. Was skeptical at first since HTC isn’t known to have good battery life.

I don’t think Google will kill off good features. One thing they have done is make users happy. So I’m pretty confident that Waze will live. It would be nice if they can integrate it into one app in the future.

Quickoffice and Picasa are still out there too.
The messenger acquisitions were probably brought in to assist the new Hangouts app that they just came out with. I like the new hangouts app.

I don’t get how people can get so many hours on battery. Do they not use their phones? I am always using my phone.

I’ve already had it for 7 months. But it makes sense that my new HTC One with a bigger battery with the power saver mode is doing much better with similar usage. Sometimes, I use Navigation a lot and that seems to drain my battery big time.

It’s definitely worth more than $400. Nexus 4 is a last gen phone. No LTE. No 1080p display. No SD card slot. Crappy battery life. Below average camera quality. To me, it’s one of the best looking phones. With that said, it’s priced competitively at $350 for the 16 GB version.
Meanwhile, the XPERIA Z has simliar specs to the Galaxy S4 and HTC One. It has 2300+ mAh with 1080p display and a 13 MP camera. Plus LTE. It also has the SD card slot for people that need it. If anything, it’s worth around $500-$550 or an unlocked version.

Sony missed out on this one. They should have done this long time ago. XPERIA Z was the first 2013 generation phone to come out. I remember people were actually eyeing the XPERIA Z because the design was similar to that of Nexus 4 with the glass back. A lot of people were content with LG making it but they really wanted HTC or Sony.
However, I think if they can price it $50 below HTC One and $100 below the Galaxy S4 in the Google Play store then it will probably sell a lot. If it’s at $450, it will get even more buzz. At $450, you get a LTE phone with an above average camera. Battery life shouldn’t be any worse than HTC One or S4.

Battery life is good? Dude, I can’t even go half a day without the battery draining down to 10-15%. If I am out from morning to night, the battery doesn’t hold up. I just got a HTC One and it hasn’t even hit the 20% with similar usage. That’s with LTE! Camera was very average.
But I can’t complain when a unlocked device only cost me $350.

Yeah… This is why I don’t think I can buy a Touch Wiz phone. But the reviews for Sense 5 have been positive so I thought maybe I would try it out.

Wow, Sense 5 is that great?
And do you have it on T-mobile or AT&T?

You think they can top the design of the Nexus 4 with the Nexus 5 considering that it’s LG making the new Nexus again? I’m thinking it’s going to be very similar build quality and design. I hope I’m wrong.
