JPG is just short for the acronym JPEG so there’s an argument to be made for “jay-peg”. PNG is an initialism so it’s often pronounced “PEE-EN-GEE”. Though whatever the creators of these formats use should be considered the canonical pronunciation. But there’s nothing wrong with being wrong if you prefer to say “ji-pa-gee”, but you might have a hard time talking about PNGs and JPEGs.

I certainly related to that. The iPod Mini remains my favourite music players and iPods in particular. It’s way out of date now, it’s bulky, it’s screen is tiny, the volume freaks out if it’s raining and your pocket gets a little wet, but it feels good and it works nicely.

You don’t have to be glued to the computer to have picked up on this if you follow other blogs or sites. He isn’t saying it’s bad that The Verge is finally reporting on this two or so weeks later, just that it’s unusual.
