except sony own like 11 studios… how many do MS own?
Both consoles with have similar interfaces and have similar tv apps. what matters most is the exclusives, and sony far out classes ms in that aspect.

That example actually happened to me, my friend asked what phone she should get as hers was old and was due an upgrade, i said the HTC one is brilliant, she said she didnt like HTC as her current phone was a HTC and she hated it…. Pulls out a wildfire, said she didnt really like iphones either (her previous was an iphone 3gs) but the iphone was better than the wildfire i was like no shit….. lets compare a £100 phone with a £600 phone??? anyway she got a HTC one and loves it…

Yes but what if you were in a place where you had no signal, or where on a plane, you would still want to use your smartphone for games etc? this is the same as the Xbox, what if your internet goes down? or just dont want to be online, why should that stop you playing single player?
Smartphones are by design, designed to be connected all the time, since the internet is how people connect you you, thus fitting its purpose.
A console is by design, designed to play games….. why should you require the internet to be able to play?
A good example of this is the millions of people who move houses everyday…… it often takes a good couple of weeks before you get all set up with a service provider…. great time to catch up on some assassins creed no?

lol defo not in the minority mate. Infact it could be the kiss of death for the Xbox…. since the people who care enough to hate always online are the more tech savy customers, these customers will buy the console day 1, and people generally just get whatever console their friends have. If their friends bought PS4’s, then that will be the console that they end up buying.

so yeah 5 years, 6 years, followed by 7 years, quite clearly a linear pattern….. and ofcourse we can’t reliably say the ps5 will be in 8 years, as no one knows, they may bring it out in 5 years time for all anyone else knows.

wasn’t the ps1 5 years – the ps2 6 years and the ps3 now 7 years, so if that sets a precedent, then the ps4 will last 8 years, 15 years is plain crazy talk.
