you should have bought them just under a year ago. you would have made more than 100% profit by now. almost 200% profit if you had sold them when they maxed in January.

that’s mostly because nobody uses media center. they have saved a ton of cash for removing the dvd licensing and having media center users paying for it, if they wish to get it.

you need to enable that option in settings // accounts // each account you want // scroll down to ‘show email notifications for this account’. one thing is to allow notifications from the app, the other is notifications per account.

i find wp8 much slower than wp7 in normal usage. I keep getting “loading…” screens for bog standard things like opening a settings page or the bing search. I am running a low-end Lumia 620, but my lg optimus 7 never showed anything like that.

is that a usb port on top or a mini hdmi?

well, that is not technically correct. when you build an app you specify which platforms you want to cover. you can make something exclusive to rt or 8, its just a tickbox on the app setup.

Well, it is possible to use the phone to do it. I’ve shared what I know, not sure if you are unappreciative or just surprised by the method.

I especially like the ‘Microsoft is after money’ bit. Sure, because other companies are like charities, they don’t want to make money XD. Ah well, I’d be interested on discussing this topic, but with such a bad first post I’m not going to bother.

Dont worry, Ubuntu is already busy doing a touchscreen UI that pretty much works like windows 8 with the edge interactions. Functionally it feels the same.

And when does it reach the number of quality metro apps? Is there a figure? App submissions have substantially grown these last couple of months, pretty much doing more new apps per day than during the launch period pre-Christmas. Almost 64k apps at the moment.

By the same logic, the best windows pc is a 400 dollar Acer which costs nearly 3times less than the MacBook and performs nearly as good.
That’s really not a likely thing.

what he means is that the interface works too differently on both devices, even if they look mostly the same. this is confusing for the users and not beneficial for the platform. if you make the user experience very similar across devices, it makes for much more intuitive use.
