Agreed. Since I usually buy my points as codes at a discount from Chinese eBay vendors I end up saving money in comparison to buying from MS directly. I don’t think anyone’s going to sell a 12€ card for 10€ now, though. :/
Very insightful. I absolutely hated Vista for the longest time and was convinced no one ever had a smooth experience with it. Then, recently, a friend of mine asked me to reformat his 5-year-old laptop (which was a spec beast at the time); he wanted me to upgrade it to Win7 because I was always bickering about his OS whenever the topic came up. The result was that there was no perceivable difference in performance on his laptop at all. It was an eye-opener, really.
