Did you not read the article? Locking the system down to where you can’t even do 50/50 multitasking windows, or where you HAVE to start with a rapidly staling splash of color has proven to not sit well with customers. Yes 8.1 will fix many of these problems, but it’s too late.
And you can try to use the “people don’t like change” argument, but that isn’t stopping them from going to OSX. It also never stopped them from moving on to the next Windows. Fact of the matter is that MS gambled with some completely reworked OS, instead of building upon a solid established foundation, and it turned out to be a mess.
So because it’s in their best interest, it’s not good for you? Don’t be a tit.
Unfortunately our voices don’t really mean a thing. So be glad that you had a mass corp whose interests aligned with yours, instead of searching for every reason to gripe about your least favorite company.
Albeit a joke, it’s still a jab at the fact that somebody decided to include a feature that he didn’t give any thought to. Can’t say I’m surprised though. These characters always come out in full force whenever an Android device brings forth a new feature. I guess it’s a two way street though.
Me? Well, I just like to sit back and see what happens as technology gets pushed to the bleeding edge. And then once a device comes out with everything I want, and without anything that I don’t want, I jump! I guess fanboys can’t have that luxury :P.
