Well, crap, it would have been nice if 9to5Mac’s Mark Gurman has been tipped off about any functional improvements instead of what sounds like just new themes.
I guess we have a few weeks until we can all reconvene and argue about whatever they did sucking or not – haha…

Isn’t Pandora’s real strength their matching system? Would be great if they could expand on that instead of trying to be some other music service.

This is going to be soo freaking cool after a few generations. If this is wearable computing’s StarTac, it’s iPhone 4 is going to be nearly unbelievable.
And I need one of these with a good Ingress client on my face today!!!

What’s funny is that this list of objections, with only some minor adjustments could be applied to the original iPhone:
1. stratospheric price – (Ballmer’s reaction was classic)
2,8. touch will never be mainstream, buttons are the only real way to interact with a phone
3,4. only worked on a busy ATT network, only on 2G
5. No apps
6. Abysmal battery life compared to the RIM, Nokia, and Sony Ericsson competition
7. You had to activate via iTunes, giving Apple all your information
9. It’s a wierd shape, compared to other contemporary phones of the time
10. Only worked with Apple earbuds, unless you got an adapter
So, honestly, if Glass becomes the next big thing, none of these issues will matter eventually. Google certainly has the fortitude to make it happen…the question is if they have the vision, and they can actually sell it as a successful consumer product despite it really is a just a slightly more useful smartwatch. Personally, the only major concern I have is that the Google Play store will be dead as a doornail the moment they open it up for Glass to be sold to the public.

I always wondered if there were other uh frequent repetitive high-frequency manual exercise type activities that might throw one of these things off, given they’re on one’s wrist. I suppose it more or less averages out with all the other stuff an average person does throughout the day.
