Yeah but is SMS enough? To do things like pictures, you need a data connection. If you want to have the least then by all means.

Isn’t the reason I want something else because my dad has it? Facebook is fun for about 2 months while you get a huge DB of friends and find out what happened to them, what they look like etc. It is like a high school reunion without having to go. But who wants to spend hours a day in a high school reunion or see posts about their daily activities? Now ads in there? My friend who died a while ago apparently just liked Chevy trucks. I like social for close friends and news and G+ provides that in an elegant way. I could care less if it isn’t as popular or argue for or against it.

And pictures and file sending. Now we lost voice calling.

Or how about they just enable LTE again since I had it up here in Canada until the last update.

Is it just me but aren’t messages currently synced? Any IM I get sent has always popped up a window or notification in G+ web, Gmail, Gtalk etc. Maybe it is just a re-brand and unification + more features (like image & file sending in gtalk or SMS integration)? A unification is sorely needed…

You have obviously never had an original idea then I guess. While I think some of the patents are ridiculous and I am a fan of Android, I feel Samsung went completely out of their way to copy, the original Galaxy S looked like a KRF. It is one thing to be inspired by another but something entirely different when they flat out copy down to the finest detail. The original galaxy S was so blatant. It even took icons and superimposed them on a rounded background. Many of these copies unnecessary to compete. It is like Huawei copying Cisco, they even copied the grammatical errors in the manuals.

Just curious but why does anyone really need to backup SMS?

I disagree. If it were somehow impossible to pirate, I am sure those folks would still consume content, maybe less but someone that downloads a crap load of music wont stop listening to new music. That argument is absurd.

So you are saying that people just want to hoard content they don’t use? All these people just downloading stuff they don’t need or wouldn’t buy, then why bother downloading it. The issue is that the pirates and the pirate sites are using someone else’s content like games to get users on their content like torrent sites where they can sell ads to porn or poker sites. How would you feel if people were making money off your work?

I guess you have to find someone that isn’t aware of the unlocked version to sell it to.

I like the HTC One but for the value, I would still get Nexus 4, save $200 and no crapware but also no LTE which is fine for most users. The big bonus (and my main reason) for Nexus 4 is to get the latest version of software immediately. But man is that phone sweet. I hope HTC does well with it, loved my Nexus One.

Or pin it on wifi as needed.

I have all my songs with me, try Google music or Sub Sonic to stream it from home. Pin it on WiFi etc. I have more music than I could listen to start to finish in my entire life at my finger tips. No need to waste hours copying it, that is absurd.

If you need SD then you have choices. I always wanted SD but found I never put anything on it. I ended up moving blank SD from phone to phone. But I also don’t pay for my phone so I can stream movies from home and music from Google locker. As long as there is choice, everyone should be all good.

I honestly think most of those features likely work like garbage and all the additional Samsung apps just clutter things up. This is why I get Nexus phones, there is 1 page in the app drawer to start. Sure some Google bundled apps but not all of them. I hate bloat and I want to choose what I want on my device.
