The biggest problem is that atom is still not powerful enough to run desktop apps well. That applies to arm chips as well though it’s not possible. Also, there are just not enough metro apps. You got the basic apps but, not enough. android and iOS is evolving a lot quicker. Android in terms of performance as well as design. IOS is also going through a slow evolution.
I did the math and apparently, bay trail will make it graphically better than current chips will match current chips in terms of power. But, powervr rogue is gonna be a graphics monster not to mention Qualcomm s800. Also, when arm goes 64 bit, Intel’s gonna have a lot to catch up.
Full windows 8 but, it’s still not powerful enough to run desktop apps flawlessly and desktop apps are not designed for 8 inch screens and there are not enough metro apps…. But, this is gonna be useful as just a media consumption device for movies and stuff. But, wait, there’s the nexus 7 and iPad mini.
PS Vita is pretty much useless because once Tegra 4, Snapdragon 800 or the ARM v8 chips are released…. PS Vita games would look like NES games in comparison to those games on those heavy weights. I doubt whether Sony would be updating the PS Vita any time soon.
What’s the use?…. Less 0.01 of people in the world have a PS Vita.
Yeah, Sony’s next announcement?
We are discontinuing DualShock. The PSVita is now your controller.
