I appreciate a Wikipedia-based smackdown as much as the next guy, so thank you for this.
However, can we lay off of the use of ‘retarded’? There are certainly better ways to chastise than to use a slur against the mentally handicapped.

Don’t get your hopes up too high. They’re just talking about throwing whey in with the manure in methane digesters. Digesters are pretty cool, but they’re also not too novel.
Incidentally, many state fairs dispose of their butter sculptures in this same manner.

No people living ‘100s of years ago’ would reasonably be described as cavemen.

So bored.
I pronounce it with a hard ‘g’ sound because I think it sounds better – it’s shorter and more direct, where the soft ‘g’ sound makes it sound longer and more slippery.

I couldn’t get the listed link (http://maps.google.com/preview) to work, but I found this link on Twitter, and it seems to do the trick:

If you look closely, the line that would tell you whether or not there is a primary hard disk has scrolled out of view.
I don’t get why readers feel that they have to comment on the header picture. At least if you read this site as embarrassingly often as I do you’d realize it’s just another of their stock photos.
In other news, this is the post where I chose to object to pedantic commentary unrelated to the article. On another occasion I may choose to be the pedant myself. I think that’s just how the internet works.

Perhaps you misunderstand me: Qwest may see Google in CB (e.g. really close) and decide that they should jump first, lest Google beat them to the punch.
And again, that’s probably not the reason anyway.

I don’t know if makes sense, but maybe they’re worried about Google living right next door…

I have to say: If that’s the best of the last year of the internet, I’m not sure I care to stay here (that is, on the internet).
