You can hide non-music audio files by placing a blank file with the filename “.nomedia” in the folder of the audiobooks.
Reboot phone, then download another player e.g. Smart AudioBook Player.

Like Steve Jobs said, the customer does not know what he wants – I would definitely recommend trying a GNex or HOX for at least 2 weeks.
As both an iOS/Android user, here are some points which I hope will be of help:
Size: I liked the iPhone but I still use 2 hands to type – how do people do it with 1 without laying it down? For answering phone calls, there’s no problem with 1 hand since the answer/decline buttons are near the bottom. As for reading, I use the volume buttons in Kindle/Kobo to turn pages so it’s easily done on 1 hand. But you definitely need 2 hands for playing games which I believe is the same case for iPhone except Words for Friends i suppose.
It’s hard to go back to a smaller screen after the HTC One X. Games look better on bigger screens and I’ve even abandoned my iPad and did not miss it much with the HOX.
ICS: Yes, it’s superior but alot of apps have not caught up to the Holo-themed redesign yet. I suppose it would suck if you see Jelly Bean out with fancy new features which your phone potentially can do but you have to wait 6 months for it to be updated.
UI: HTC Sense is quite polished and is quite pleasant to the eyes without requiring extensive skinning but the option is always there with other launchers like APEX, Nova or GO Launchers. As for the multi-tasking fiasco everyone is talking about, I’ve personally not felt it that much since I have the international Tegra 3 version but I have to say I multi-task more often now than I did with iPhone because of the multi-task button e.g. switching between Chrome, GTalk, Flipboard, GMail, my Exchange mail account is effortless.
So there you go and I hope you’ll enjoy Android as much as I did.
