Don’t worry, that’s just creative writing IMO. Anything new makes the old “a thing of the past”, but that doesn’t mean that old thing will become useless or obsolete :)

I’m all for this tech to become mainstream and for gamers everywhere to become more fit!

Don’t worry, they are working on games that actually take advantage of that. We have the tech to do it right now, we just have to give developers time to get it all together. The Razer Hydra pops into mind when you mention the independent aiming and looking. :)
