Nope. Eye candy is not beautiful design. Eye candy are design elements that serve no other purpose than “looking good”.

An actual alarm clock would be much preferred.

Erm.. problem is, you would still have drug wars. Just that then, they’d be within the US border as well.

Econimists far and wide think so too, and are alarmed. That is, were alarmed. Before the industrial revolution. Then somehow people noticed it was fine. There is always things to do, if machines do more chores, as a people you are just able to achieve more.
Massive birth control, on the other hand, is the most stupid thing anyone could ask for. A smaller population of young people to care for an overwhelming majority of old folks? Talk about killing an economy.

There are also software problems (like the alarm clocks that fail about once per year on average, and the Apple maps fiasco), there were the antenna-problems, bent phones, and so forth. Apple even apologized publicly for their failings, so how can anyone say they never do…
And I also dislike the generalization “like all Apple products”. I love my MacBook Pro, but it has serious heat issues, like many from its batch (early 2011 if I remember right). On Windows, with full load, it will go to standby every 30 minutes because of overheating.
I have a Nexus 4 and so far, I have far less issues than my wife with her iPhone. Setting it up alone was an incredible hassle, because iOS preferences have become seriously cluttered and fractured in senseless ways over time. Kind of reminded me of my Symbian phones of old when I tried to figure out why her gmail calendar would not sync…

Interesting thoughts on NSFW. By your logic, if you do not want to be intimate with your wife in public, why would you want to at all?
