BTW forget about all that clear scalp thing. The only thing a man needs to be attractive to the opposite sex is money – so logically, you must focus on that. The rest is gravy.

I always think of myself as a geek and gadget lover, but when I see this I realize I am neither. At least not compared to him.

This seems to be the vibe here.
As a software developer I have to rain on that parade a little bit: As much as I love HTML5 in my browser, it really does not make for a great, or even good, or even semi-decent application framework.
Mark my words. A HTML based application framework will go nowhere. HTML was never made for this. HTML5, while solving huge amounts of problems with web development and design, is also not an application framework. It was also never made for this.
Sure you can hack it… you can do “anything” – a simple matter of programming. But app frameworks live up to different standards than normal software. An app framework that’s not absolutely fantastic to start with is going to die a quick, painful death.

Far more likely is that nobody cares about Windows RT – or Windows – at this point.

That sums up Oracle’s problem here: The judge knew a thing or two about the topic at hand.
These patents should be null and void, they cover trivial stuff, they are just dumb, and they should never have been issued.
I am not a Google fan by any means but this was just BS.

I was thinking the same thing – maybe if you’re without internet, there’s suddenly so much time … time to write 10,000 word articles, or read them!
Whereas with the internet… in the blink of an eye, 4 hours have passed, and if you think about what you did during that time, you can’t really remember…

keeping it the same width is pretty clever as all existing apps will just work – anything with a scrolling view will look perfect, and anything without will gain a black bar on the bottom until the devs have updated the software.

USB 3 would be fine. And also compatible with USB 2. USB3 would saturate the speed of the iPhone’s built in Flash memory for years to come – senseless to make it any faster when the storage can’t keep up.

wow – this is exciting.
first electric bicycle I’ve ever heard of that was built for fun. it’s obvious that should be what any bicycle is built for, really. helping with stunts? assisted pedaling to 50mph? that’s just awesome.
Of course with all this tech this thing will probably cost … what? USD 5,000?

LOOOL the tool stripes on MS apps are beyond ridiculous.
People never use 95% of these features – so MS thought it a great idea to put them ALL on screen at the same time?! Unbelievable. I had honestly not though that the UI of Word could get any worse, but Microsoft pulled a surprise there!

Kinda looks like the revamped Google web apps?! Very few but bold colors, flat everything.
It’s not really my style – I think the entire UI should be grey or some other neutral color. That would be the purpose of the operating system – to not get in the way. But Microsoft of course never understood that.

Please. Anything is better than Aero Glass.
For skeuomorphics – the thing designers just love to criticize. It has its place – it can make apps more fun, more accessible. Very hard to do tastefully of course.
In OS X – well iCal sucks – we don’t want “cute” on a daily too. Photo Booth is great – this is where that stuff belongs. It all depends.

Well the iPhone is quickly becoming the smallest smartphone on the market, at least if you discount the masses of cheapo smartphones with too-small crap screens.
People are most definitely getting used to larger screens. It used to be that ladies would wear the smallest phone possible – these days I see them running around with GalaxyNotes… speaking of which, it had impressive sales numbers despite the fact that it’s actually, truly, and undoubtedly too big.

MBP has an excellent screen – go all the way to the highest end PC laptops before you find comparable.
That said, I agree it’s much ado about nothing. Who cares about the term ultrabook. It’s just marketing. Expecting it to have meaning is a bit of a stretch. The meaning is, Intel wants to sell some product, and the whole thing will probably be forgotten within 24 months…
