how about using the phone without spraining one’s thumb joints? I’ve tried to use >4" phones and it’s a no go. and I’m 1.82 m (or 6 ft) tall and got long fingers so you can’t talk about 12 year old’s hands.
I’ve got a 3" Xperia mini pro. the hardware keyboard is awesome and I use it a lot, but on-screen typing isn’t something difficult, especially with SwiftKey, and I could use just the screen keyboard if I had to.
but did the OP said that he wants a high-end device anywhere*? 2011 Xperia mini/mini pro is 3", and it’s only got up to ICS 4.0.4, but it’ll certainly run WhatsApp and Rocket Player and that’s what he needs. don’t get tricked into thinking that everyone including you needs the highest specs possible.
