I would suggest to anybody with a note 2, doesn’t matter if the international version Or not, (its the android phone most widespread with the same configuration around the world, probably as of now the second most sold android phone after the s3 in all its different configurations.) to stay away from aosp/aokp roms, it’s of course everyone’s desicion what they do with the phone they payed money for, but the note is such a special device, there are lots of features that don’t work with cm10 and other aosp based roms, that it just doesn’t make scwnse to flash something that is not going to work.
Keep looking for tw based roms
If you are in Berlin, do as some have already suggested, go to Alexanderplatz, there you can go to a big Saturn store or cross the street into the Alexa shopping center, there is a huge Mediamarkt, in both stores the price should be the same, 599 Euro for the international unlocked version of the phone, maybe you are lucky and get some even better price, i know it should be going down. There are some good offers on ebay.de, around 500 Euro, but you need to check if they deliver to your hotel address and i would suggest you use paypal to buy it.
i carry mine on the left back pocket of my jeans/shorts, never an issue, even if i sit, altough, most of time, while sitting, it is in front of me, on a table, desk, or my hands.
i don’t know what will happen with htc, but i don’t think android is going to get lost in Samsung hands, i think if not htc, there will be other brands, for example LG is now selling more, and already making a profit, small one, but still, then you have motorola coming next year with phones designed with google help, and some smaller player with some good experiences building phones for others, such as huwaei for example.
