I’ve been making this argument for a long time. Using tech used to be about your desire to explore and find new ways of doing things, now its just about having enough money to buy the latest device. This has created a generation of tech retards. If you have ever consulted an Apple genius, you are not truly into tech…you’re just along for the ride.
Only someone who isn’t a gamer (a person who considers video games a frequent hobby, ie "hardcore gamer) would poise that “gaming” on an Apple TV will be a competitor with the Xbox One or PS4. Two completely different categories.
I actually like my Google TV (AT&T Uverse subscriber). The real problem with Google TV is support, there is almost none. With Google announcing that they will be updating the platform to ICS over the coming months, I hope that will mean more updates/support. It’s really a great thing to NOT have to switch inputs on the TV to watch Netflix, Youtube, web pages, play movies, etc
Microsoft CAN do this right, whether they will or not remains to be seen. The real thing that makes me hesitant is the memory of my 5 dead Xbox 360 consoles. Those weren’t “always on” like a TV box would be…I have my doubts that the new Xbox can handle that much work without breaking.
I’m not down with Obama by any means, but I can’t hate on him for killing terrorists in other countries with drones. Fuck ’em. Just keep the drone killing over there and not here.
If your country is offended by american drones killing terrorists on your lands, perhaps you should clean up your neighborhood.
