Not boring at all. The story/plot is fantastic and the lore is really quite interesting. Don’t rush through, enjoy yourself, don’t skip conversations and cut scenes.

You either haven’t played D2 enough or haven’t played D3 enough. Probably the latter. It’s incredibly hard, and no harder or easier to get lost. Yeah, there’s sometimes an arrow telling you which way to go for quests, but that’s great. It lets me explore if I want or push on instead.
1. Still an issue unless you are well above the level requirements for the Quest/Act.
2. Still an issue, not so much getting back to town, but getting away from monsters. Very important when champion packs are fucking up your shit.
3. I always wonder what monsters will drop. It’s more random now than in D2, it seems, but there’s still better loot on uniques/champs/bosses than other monsters, so it’s still quite a rewarding kill. Yeah, no pindleskin, but oh well.
4. You may be the only person who misses this aspect of D2.
5. Again, why is this something you miss?

To be honest, with the current loot system, it’s almost too hard without the AH. I’d still be doing 3.5K dps in hell act 2 w/o the AH. Not acceptable.
bottom line: As it stands, drops outside inferno suck.

Yeah, I see absolutely no point in a single player version of this game. People can complain about not being able to log on day 1 even to play single player, but if you aren’t playing multi player, why does it matter if you are playing day 1?

Good review but almost too concise and I do have one actual complaint. The review seems to point out that he hasn’t played up until hell [or inferno yet]. I’m a ways through hell (Wizard, lvl 56, oppa#1506) and I can say the game changes greatly in the higher difficulties. What’s great is that not only do the monsters have more health, but the mechanics which they play by increase, too. They seem almost smarter, and have more abilities than before. So far in hell, I’ve seen champions with four special abilities. A hell pack of champions can be as hard to kill an act-end boss.
Amazing game, worthy of the 10/10, just wish the reviewer had spent more time with it and gotten to inferno before publishing.
