Agreed on some, disagree on others, but a very good post.

One thought on Notification Center: Keep the linen, but make it so the linen makes sense. The linen is supposed to be the “bottom.” As in, the apps and homescreen are on top of the linen. So the Notification Center should be UNDER the screen rather than a shade.

Also, Apple needs to kill the fucking X/Clear buttons in NC. Awful.

With regards to Air Drop, it’s a bit redundant. You can already transfer media via wifi through iTunes, and I imagine iCloud will soon have documents storage.

There really aren’t many obvious features left. Siri API, more iCloud functionality, upgraded maps with turn-by-turn*, tweak Notification Center…I mean what else is there?

*I could see them upgrading Maps.app this year and saving turn by turn for iOS7.

-Sense is awful
-Battery is abysmal
-Selling point of the phone won’t be available for a year, in addition to another key feature

S Voice looks exactly like Siri, iPod nano ripoff, Apple TV/AirPlay dongle ripoff, SMART COVER ripoff, iTunes Match ripoff…

I guess there’s no shame at Samsung HQ.

So why did Samsung have a big announcement when they just had the embargo for their press release on the device end a minute before the announcement? What a colossal waste of time and resources.

I like the idea, but I think it’s way too ambitious. 2-4 months would have gotten the point across and would probably teach the same lessons. A year in this world is impossible and doesn’t really add anything.
