posting a definition yourself does not mean you’re on equal footing. i would argue that none of the challenges “unjustifiably” claimed anything.

Oh jeez. Its not a “scam” nor is it “rigged.” Both of those imply that the customer knew nothing about what was going on. They’re simply highlighting features and offering money/prizes as incentive to get people to learn about the features. They could of held this challenge with no monetary reward and nobody would have ever cared.

when it comes to search engine logos, none of them are really breaking any ground. i realize that their entire brand was based on their simple logo but googl’e logo could have been made in word 97…

or how about “Microsoft changes Bing so that thisismynextname thinks it looks more like Google and thisismynextname still doesn’t care”

seemed new to me. i was surprised there weren’t articles about it all over the internet by now because i use bing everyday and this is the first i’m seeing this new design.

this doesn’t surprise me at all. when they were entering a market dominated by physical keyboards (that were showing up in feature phones, too) its hard to justify having absolutely no keyboard but an onscreen one. but the folks at apple probably knew that their device would always be compared to blackberry and the other smartphones of the time if it didn’t make a drastic change….its just smart marketing.
