I thought this was funny that someone still has to knock. Kind of defeats the purpose. I haven’t looked into it, but when you said it could check for motion, I thought it was like one of those Alien/Aliens motion detectors that can sense minute differences in air pressure (I just finished watching the two movies to prep for Prometheus). Looks cool, though. Can’t wait until they are mass produced and I can get one at the local CVS.

I’ve heard before that all carriers are throttling, including AT&T. I haven’t looked over the fine print in awhile, but I think if I ever went over 5 Gb in a month on my grandfathered unlimited plan, they’d start throttling. I haven’t experienced it yet, having never gone above 2 Gb/mo. I’m not happy that unlimited data came with caveats, but it doesn’t seem like we have a choice.

I don’t think there’s going to be a next Nexus at Samsung. That’s Google’s brand. Motorola will probably have the next Nexus (God save us all). Samsung will stick with the S series and the Note.

There are too many branded features to keep track of, why not just call them what they are, like they do with wireless charging. They’re not calling it the S III Air Dock. Instead they have Smart Stay, S Voice, Direct Call, S Beam, AllShare Play, TouchWiz Nature UX, Pop-up play, best photo, S Pebble, Music Hub, and S Health.
