It’s just heartbreaking that people can be so desperate as to fall for this garbage. There’s certainly nothing new with the concepts of the scammers. But the internet and social media has made it so easy, almost automated, for the douche bag IM’ers that they can victimize orders of magnitude more people now.
It’s terrifying knowing how much bogus garbage is forwarded to me from people that should very well know better. Law enforcement needs to catch up to this technology quick before it becomes epidemic.
