Everyone else is seeing 30-50% increase in battery life. Apple just got 70% increase. It’s not as revolutionary in comparison, but it does stand apart.
Talk about confirmation bias. The pc laptops you mentioned were faulted for issues in wifi, touchpad, battery life, or bloat ware, not stickers. There are real issues with each laptop that keeps most of them from being as good as the MBA. That’s not to say theverge doesn’t favor macs, they do. They bash on the Carbon X1 for heat and inability to play games, but completely dismiss the same thing on the MBA “it’s not meant for games”. The X1 should have gotten an 8.5 or 8.6.
Sorry theverge, but this is a pretty sad article. It doesn’t highlight any of the differences between this and dropbox. I got more info from a 1 minute look at their product page than your verbose article. LayerVault supports visual timeline, so you can see all versions of a file in thumbnails. Pretty great if you’re looking for that one version 15 saves ago before you messed everything up. With dropbox you have to go by the time stamp or just open every version up. Also, you get “wormhole” which lets you look at one particular area of the image for all versions. Oh, and quick shortcuts like color pick without opening up a 30meg file.
Was it that hard to put these killer features into the article?
