I think a lot of it is really smart stuff, and there’s little reason not to, but there are some parts I don’t think Apple would go for, even if they aren’t necessarily bad ideas.

The dual functionality of the mute switch and orientation lock for instance just doesn’t seem like it would be readily obvious enough and they tend to like simplicity.

The same kinda goes for the shadowed area on the music tab, I think it’s probably more than you need at a glance and would be kinda funky when transitioning between apps and the music settings tab at the bottom and all of a sudden options shade in from the top taking the search bars place. I think that functionality would be part of what you would leave in the app so that there’s still somewhat compelling reason to jump into the full thing.

But seriously this is good stuff, I’d be a lot bigger a fan of Apple if there was this degree of functionality easily accessed and glanceable throughout the OS. A settings pane for power widgets and toggles was a really good idea too.

Contrast this with what another certain telecommunications CEO had to say recently and you can see which is really pulling out all the stops to push his company forward, and for the betterment of his customers nonetheless. It’s a shame he doesn’t have quite the same power as the others, but damn do I commend Hesse all the same

That is seriously disappointing, I mean come on Google, if your own staff acknowledges it what more is there really left to do but remedy the issue?

Ohk, I would like it myself, just like I enjoy Google Music, were it not only for the obnoxious inclusion of Google Profile pictures, Google+ profile pictures, and Google+ cover photos.

I could do without that added and undesirable clutter.
