Thanks for the link. It’s encouraging to read, but I need a better phone soon and there’s no real timetable mentioned in the article for when those improvements will take place. I’m not willing to be stuck with only the existing 3G if I upgrade to the new EVO. It would probably be fine if I didn’t need it for work though. To Sprint’s credit I have have seen improvements in 3G speeds in certain parts of town here in L.A., but I can’t wait for what will be vs. what’s available now.

Dude, you’re my phone twin (Pre → EVO 4G). I think I’m going to ditch Sprint because I don’t want to wait for LTE to get built out and we all know how slow the 3G service is. I need a new workhorse phone asap. I use mine for work a fair amount, especially wifi hotspot, and it would be nice to have a fast 3G connection so I don’t have to kill the battery using Wimax to get decent speeds.

I wonder if they have a metric for tracking butthurt users after read receipts go into effect.

Other than what he’s posted here, we don’t know all of the reasons he’s taking such drastic action. I’m an IT consultant and being plugged in 24/7 has definitely lowered my quality of life. I keep up with it because it’s my business to and I’m passionate about technology, but I have considered leaving the field altogether. I can certainly emphasize with Paul and don’t consider this silly.

I wonder if Sprint continue the weirdness and call it the Samsung Galaxy S III Epic 4G LTE Touch…
