extremely good idea. In that case I would expect still that the site uses the SI system as standards…and only on mousover the US system is shown.

Lets clarify something here. Whining is…when you dont eat your food because its does not taste like the way you want it to…or when one thinks that the world is ending when room temperature is 2°C (see there…i did not use Fahrenheit) more than usual. Thas whining.

Demanding a global website to abide by standards that the whole world (san USA…) uses, is not whining.

Their core audience are technology enthisiasts….NOT american technology enthusiasts.

As a matter of fact I would love to see some statistics of what their visitor ratios look like….I for one call BS on the assertion that americans are the majority in this website. I honestly dont think that is the case. Atleast till its proven otherwise.

wut? You are exactly right on one account, i.e. They are a US-based website.

It does not mean however that they are a US-only website. As long as there is a standardised metric system, there is zero reasons not to use that system. The whole should not pay for the sheer stupidity of the american education system.

That TheVerge should use the international system is out of question…the only question is why they dont use it.

I cant +1 this enough…Wherever you go, there is a segment which is rascist in nature.
Their 100% rascist behaviour are not tagged as rascist but sometimes as love for their own country. Thats the only difference.
