This is the give and take of iOS, they try to pre-pick the winners. When it works, it awesome, the integration will likely be better for those particular services on iOS than other mobile platforms. Personally, I’d like to see them open up their platform so all developers could take advantage of such features and level the playing field to the quality of the service, not whether or not they’re big enough to ink deals with Apple.
As current a smartwatch owner, I don’t see why the majority of current Google Glass design paradigms can’t be transferred to a smart watch with a touchscreen and a microphone. The only thing missing is the camera, but the current apps don’t really use the camera in any sort of augmented reality way at this point anyways.
I think it’s mostly the fact that you can fill in any gaps they have in their streaming collection by uploading your own songs, and then have the ability to stream those anywhere.
