In early versions of this app, the background photo scrolled at a different rate then the overlying text. This is great Modern design feature used a lot on the phone. It’s unfortunate that MS decided to remove this from the weather attp.
Bing is an all around superior search engine. Results are always more consice. I think it would be great if Microsoft automatically redirected anyone trying to get to google on IE to route to bing!
Bring back Bing navigation (but without the need to tap). Or at least give us the option to choose our preferred maps/navigation system. Nokia sucks where I live.
Always hated the start menu. Never used it. Having everything jam packed into a little corner of the screen and having to click through levels to get to stuff is just inefficient. The Start screen makes much better sense.
For anyone wondering why Microsoft got rid of the start menu, their analytical data proved that most people didn’t use it. They get this from the option you have to send Microsoft user experience data. Also, maintaining the start menu functionality in Windows 8 world with the addition of modern apps would have been a problem that was not worth sorting out.
