If you are going to agree, get it right. “Those Who Can’t” was not great, it was only good.. :-)

Sounds like what Google TV was aiming for, until they got blocked by all the main network websites. i.e Search to find both live, future, and on-demand content.

Why does Hulu not have an app on there yet (or last I checked)? Hulu has an app on nearly every second rate app-ified TV and box out there.

I agree. I actively refuse to acknowledge SMS (especially pictures) from people who I know have a smart phone and have my email address because SMS feels like antiquated technology due to the fact that it is tied to a single device and can’t be accessed from a PC.

Are these requests accompanied by a warrant? 7 weeks is a pretty hefty back log. Apple should hire extra people and then just start charging for the decryption efforts so they can keep up with demand.
This shouldn’t be any different than the police hiring an expert safe cracker or getting the manufacturer to drive out and open a safe. I assume the police don’t expect that for free do they?

True, but something like 50/50 for $50 a month would probably open it up to some families that would otherwise pass it by.
Incidentally, does anyone know if the Google Fiber monthly bill is an even $70/mo or do they tack on irrational fees to jack up the unadvertised price?

According to Star Trek, the invention of free energy and then the replicator lead to the majority of humanities needs being met, which lead to world peace and a shift in mindset from survival and acquisition of wealth to that of general improvement of society. After that it was the basic concept humanity answering the question of the unknown with the goal of learning new things.
I never saw a real link to US foreign policy ambitions.

I agree. The Star Trek reboot (and the TNG movies) reminds me of the Mission Impossible movies compared to the Mission Impossible TV shows. I enjoyed the TV show story lines (including the TV show reboot) much better than the action movie story lines … for both series.

Yay! for the separate App and Website categories. They should have done this at the beginning when they had the huge influx of “bookmark” apps you could install which did nothing but link to a website.
Glad to see this new organization.

Of course. It would be the morons in charge of the unions that are against it. Doesn’t surprise me if it’s true.

Isn’t this how industry shifts normally happen. Entrenched companies, who are making billions, are afraid to make any changes which might reduce their profits even the slightest. Meanwhile the up-and-coming companies are happy to only make millions by providing a new and usually more convenient technology.
Eventually the up-and-coming company hits a chord with the world and becomes like an over powering avalanche that completely runs over the entrenched companies, leaving them wondering what happened.

It may be that they have some of the best shows which is giving them high ratings, rather than avoidance of streaming. The Mentalist, CSI, NCIS, Person of Interest, Vegas, are some of my favorites.
Unfortunately I don’t follow The Mentalist anymore after missing half a dozen delayed episodes this season due to sports running over. And not having any “Roku” method of catching up. If they would air the shows on Hulu I would still be watching.
The other networks only have 1-2 shows each that interest me.
