Recommended Crowsby's comment in Ford to bring back physical radio controls for frustrated touchscreen users

When I start my car, and the radio turns on at full volume, I want an analog dial to turn the volume down RIGHT NOW!
No one solution perfect for all situations. Some work best with touch screens, some with physical controls.
AND FIX THE GPS! I haven’t used SYNC, but every other GPS device I’ve used I’ve need to enter the city[OK], then the street[OK], then the number[OK]. Why can’t I just type the “number street city” like I do with Google maps?

My friend worked in a Ford factory assembling Pintos. I believe he said that they were spot welding the pedals together. He asked the plant manager why they didn’t assemble them more securely. He was told, “We’re in the business to sell cars. Not to keep them on the road.”
Yes, that was 30+ years go, but some reputations die hard.

My 8yo has access to an iPhone, iPad and 3DS. She prefers the 3DS because it has physical buttons.
I know there’s the iCadeMobile and the iControllPad (I have an iCade). Universal support for them won’t be available until iOS7 comes out. Then there’s the questions if a 3rd party bolt-on accessory has good feel and response, and what the developer support is.

Do you really think the FBI or prosecutors give a damn who logged in while they are busting down your door?
They’ve got your IP, and they have your address. That’s all they want to know.

Windows 8 is great, if you have , the right hardware
Android looks like messy child’s room
iOS looks like a remote
Windows Phone is the happy medium.
And Surface Pro would be great, if it would have been made by Apple.
So except for DRM, I think MS has been on a roll for the past year.

My wife LOVES to take pictures. She has an iPhone 5 and Sony Cyber-shot. After I got my 920, she is no longer happy with the quality of the pictures that they take.
So she is most likely going to be ditching both devices for the EOS, simply because of the camera.

Dear Google:
Let the EFF have free and unrestricted access to all of your data centers, and to freely report their findings.
Trust but verify.

I think that the biggest blowback with all this is the secrecy. Why can’t they just come out and say what they are doing and why? The secrecy reeks of “If you’re not doing anything wrong, you have nothing to hide.” It doesn’t take much imagination to figure out how to get around what they’re doing.

Here’s what Eric Schmidt could do to prove it: Allow EFF to assemble a team to freely inspect Google’s infrastructure and report what they find. Just like those ‘other’ types of inspectors do.
Am I being too paranoid by writing ‘other’ instead of being specific?

Everything I leaned about economics I learned from “The Lion King”
Mufasa: Everything you see exists together in a delicate balance. As king, you need to understand that balance and respect all the creatures, from the crawling ant to the leaping antelope.
Young Simba: But, Dad, don’t we eat the antelope?
Mufasa: Yes, Simba, but let me explain. When we die, our bodies become the grass, and the antelope eat the grass. And so we are all connnected in the great Circle of Life.

If your round trip for the day is less than 75 miles, then range is not an issue.
If you need to drive more than 75 miles for the day, and won’t be able to recharge, then you need to drive a different car. I have my old ICE car for those occasions.
I’ve had my Leaf for 1 year now, and it has ~6500 miles. It’s my daily and weekend driver. I take it from San Jose to San Francisco, 100 miles round trip.
Make a driving diary. See how many times in one month you drive more than 75 miles in one day.

Here’s the punch line:
Interestingly, one of the Attorney General’s main arguments is not whether Danny is innocent, but whether he presented proof he was innocent quickly enough – a legal technicality that would keep him in prison for life.
And this is California, not Texas!
