I’m currently an Rdio user, but one thing I’ve always loved about the Play Music app is that when I’m streaming from my personal library it will cache ahead a few songs so that if I head underground to the subway I can keep listening. With Rdio it will stop when I get to the end of the track and I can only listen to tracks which have been predownloaded to my device. Can anyone confirm if All Access will precache tracks if listening to an album, playlist, or station? This would be a killer feature for me since I listen on the subway often.

Paypal is really banking on business sticking with them after the free service period expires, but one of the most appealing things about services like this and Square for small businesses is how little investment and setup is needed. Paypal should spend some cash on sprucing up the app and experience for businesses because it will be easy to bolt later.

This may be just the beginning of Blackberry making it’s services available cross platform. Their days selling phones are numbered, but there is still value in services like BES.

The E-M5 is a better value right now. I expect the price on this camera to fall. Supposedly there are 2 OM-D cameras in the pipeline (it is supposed to be a line of cameras), one higher end and one lower end than the E-M5.

There is a pretty large difference in the experience of shooting using a viewfinder vs the lcd screen. The biggest being eliminating all distractions and concentrating everything you see with your eyes on just the image you’re creating. Things appear much larger and clearer through a viewfinder as well, even though EVFs which had drastically improved in quality and refresh rate in the last couple years.

Yes, lets move onward and stop calling it retro design and start calling it good design. The looks, build quality, and ergonomics have stood the test of time.

I think part of the issue being missed here is that it’s not necessarily the city or tenants choice if and how to make this business viable. The landlord owns the apartment and has the right decide what is acceptable use.

I can understand landlords being very against AirBnB. The standard lease doesn’t allow for the tenant to run a hotel out of the apartment.

Build a device with a folding display and I’ll believe you. I want to unfold my smartphone into a tablet and then fold it back up and put it in my pocket.

Simply a fantastic composition. Is that the Oly 75mm? I’m a bit jealous. How do you like shooting with it? Do you find the focal length manageable for these kind of street shots?

God question, it’s rope. There is an art installation in Madison Square Park in NYC with loads of painted rope in various colors. I also took a macro shot of some of the blue rope. http://500px.com/photo/32325335

I think the white balance is a tad warm, which is why the colors may look a bit muted. I’ll try and play with it.

It’s not even just a manned mission, they plan on building a colony. The payload will be enormous, not to mention you need to actually design and engineer (invent) all of the equipment needed to facilitate a self sustaining martian colony.

Yes, this is a huge fail for MS. Windows 8 is not suitable for the business environment. Fixing this needs to be a very high priority for MS, because the way the market is going desktop PCs are going to become business devices more and more as consumers are opting for tablets and smartphones.

Anyone read Philip K. Dick’s The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch?
People are basically drafted to colonize Mars and they all use an extremely powerful hallucinogen called Can-D which allows them to hallucinate an enjoyable cliche life on earth in order to escape the dreary monotony of life on the colony. Many other crazy things ensue including even more severe reality altering hallucinogens.
Anyway, even if they figured out all of the necessary life support issues, which seems highly unlikely given there unclear plan and the silly expectation that it will only cost $6 billion, you still need to keep people sane.
