This is crap, when the Premiere came out it was the “platform for the future” and now since they’re replacing it with a new CPU there will have been one minor update and that’s it?
It just seems like they’ve always put making deals with cable companies over actually improving their product, I kind of get this with the volume cable companies deal in but at this point I think it’s clear that they need to stand on their own and actually move forward. I love my Tivo but if they don’t offer some kind of upgrade path* to existing owners I’m done after my Premiere. Also, let me sort and group my recommendations folder. (Seriously, I’ve been annoyed by that for a decade)
*no, $100 off of an $800 purchase doesn’t really count.
