As in the Mass Effect 3 Prothean dlc? it was found that the files for prothean except for cutscenes were already included in the game disc. Then there was a similar mistake from capcom in street fighter tekken i think. Even if i can agree with you to some extent, i am pretty sure they decide what to put in dlc(read: remove from original game) during the actual development, but start to work on the it during this time before release.

dlc is something to work on after fan feedback of the game. instead it has become a means to charge customers extra for content that has already been made b4 the game is released. EA and activision were doing it and now take-two as well. No wonder EA was named the worst company recently. Just glad there r still a few devs like CD Projekt who care about customers. They just released an expansion for Witcher 2 that’s 10 gb in size at no extra cost.

i played the game almost a year ago and i do agree that the combat was tough upto the part where i fought the tentacled monster in flotsam. after that with weapon and character upgrades i was enjoying it.
