Yes, we should change laws to improve them. Changing it to life + 50 years is improvement, just not near the extent of which you or I would like it to be. Copyright discussion is hard because people take hard lines and can’t come to any kind of reasonable compromise. If we can get it down to 50 now, then people can keep pushing to make it 25, then 10, then just life term. But if the the legislators won’t make that jump right away, you can still work with them to do something. That sets precedent for later arguments to continue improving it.
Think of it this way. You ask for a raise of $5/hr. Boss offers you $3/hr. You say that if you can’t get all $5 now, why bother at all. Take the $3 if that’s the only option now, work hard to make the other $2 seem reasonable in the near future.
Yea, works fine on my galaxy nexus. Can’t wait for the SMS integration though. Hopefully the next G+ update let’s me get rid of the separate Messenger app.
