Nope. It actually is a breach of privacy legislation and they are hopping around loopholes, based on the agreement they have you accept! ;)

Many years ago when gmail started they swindled people with an ever increasing mailbox! :)

That is how they took over Hotmail and Yahoo. With the promise that your mailbox would keep growing! And they kept that promise! however they never told you how fast it would grow. :) Minor detail. ;)

They do not have to track you. They could display ads regardless. Without tracking you. So no they don’t have to! They kind of swindle your agreement to do so same as the Old Europeans did to the Native Americans back when they were trading satchels of gold and land for bottle’s of whiskey and glass pendants! ;)

The sad thing is you (and many others) find it natural and reasonable! This is called conditioning. Also called being a sheep.

Humans are a ridiculous specimen. (yes i know that includes me too it’s ok; i am fine with it!, the problem is with those who don’t know how ridiculous they are)

It is hilarious to see all these people defend, and even like that Google is tracking them!

This is exactly the reason most people hated Microsoft in the first place! :)

Because Microsoft told them many years ago that they planned to take things forward online to put their data in a thing called Cloud and that they were using telemetry to identify bugs and usage patterns on Windows! OMG such a breach of Privacy!

There were even lawsuits and political discussions about such bold move and whether Microsoft was allowed to do something so preposterous! (Of course it wasn’t, it was preposterous right?) People so stupid who though that every time you sent an error report to MS they copied your entire hard disk!! That is how the Microsoft hate started!

After that, these people taught their children they should hate MS for the above mentioned reasons! And until today many of them who do, don’t even know why anymore! And so are their children! They are just conditioned to hate them!

Something quite similar to the conditioned behavior of mujaheddin that is!

And it is the same people who sign petitions against ACTA/STOPA/POPA/YUKA/ANCHOVIES whatever, because some “journalist” (see. “glorified blogger”) they trust told them so. The most ridiculous thing if i ever saw one.

It is exactly the same people who actually post in various social media these days complaining that Skype is tracking them :D
